i asked this question on a different forum and got loads of different opinions. i like tights because i feel like i can feel my shoes and the floor better, also it means i don't have to tan my naturally pasty redheaded girl legs LOL
what do you prefer?

Tights are probably more comfy, but even though I'm pale I like the look of socks better.

for the sock people, what draws you to socks for appearances? the contrast of the bright white w the black shoes?
i like my black tights bc it looks like my leg/foot are one long, lean line:D
the drawback to tights is, unlike socks, you can't just take them off to examine your toes/feet if you feel something happened during a dance. i've broken my big toe 2x and the first time i had socks so i could look and see i was bleeding, but ok. the second time i felt warmth but i was in tights so i couldnt patch things up like i could w socks just had to grin and bear it and dance my next steps! :0
Tights are fine for performances and shows, but I think socks look more like something that you would wear at a feis. To me tights come off as being a bit "Riverdance-y" if you know what I mean. ;) Not that Riverdance, LotD, etc. are bad.... I don't know lol
Haha "seductive"... It's so funny how things change! But the article did say that tights are gaining popularity because of theatrical performances or something like that... I stand by my arguement. ;) But hey, I totally support people who want to wear tights, especially if it looks good with your dress! So I'm not completely against them.
