The Traditional set dance museum

Hi all,

So, I had an idea which I thought could be interesting. You know how the traditional set dances have been passed down from generation to generation throughout the years? Well, have you also noticed that while, for the most part, all versions of each set are similar but there are sometimes small different variations on steps depending on regions and teachers...

Well, what I hope to do here is have people uploading videos of them dancing each trad set. That way we will be able to spot the differences, compare and hopefully even preserve the set dances from anymore change that naturally occurs throughout time...Maybe we will even be able to trace what part of Ireland your version of each set came from??

So, upload your video! ... Make sure you add your dancing school / teachers name and where in the world you are and if possible where you think your version came from...

So lets start a mini Trad set museum right here on diddlyi!!

I haven't done the traditional in a while but have been wanting to work on it. If I get it down I would be happy to post my version
