I am a ...: Dancer

About me: Hi I'm Caroline! I've been Irish dancing for about nine years, but I started competing only two years ago, and have been doing rather well. I recently moved all my dances into Novice at my past two competitions and I just placed out of my light jig into Prizewinner! I LOVE Irish Dance so much!!!
I also love acting, music, and singing.

What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:: I play the violin too.(: It's very fun because my mom plays, so we can play stuff together. My great, great....I-don't-know-how-many great grandparents were from Ireland, so I've always loved Irish culture. I wish I could go there. Someday, maybe.

How many years have you been Irish dancing?: 9

Favourite Irish Dance Show: I have to pick one?!? I think It's a tie between Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. I've seen them both live and I was blown away by both. The precision they achieve seems impossible. The amount of work put in by these dancers is amazing!

This was my first feis post surgery. I can't even believe that I can dance--it's amazing. But I wanted to do so much better.

I can dance.

It's only been a month since my surgery, but my doctor has given me the OK to dance again!!! It's not going to be easy, but I don't care. I did kind of focus on how amazing everything would be once I could dance again, and that helped me get through surgery, but now I'm realizing I'm really going to have to work to get back to where I want to be. Bittersweet.

In 2010, I moved all of my dances up into Novice, danced with the amazing group Cherish the Ladies, greatly improved as a dancer, became a lot closer to my friends at dance, and had an amazing time. At my last Feis, which was my 3rd time dancing in Novice, I placed first in my light jig. It was a lot of hard work, but 2010 and the first couple months of 2011 have been amazing.

West Virginia feis results

I got here yesterday evening and we checked in and ate dinner at the lounge. There are so many dancers here- whenever you go down to the lobby all you can here is clicking. My little brother, for reasons unknown, had green food coloring in his back pack which spilled all over his stuff. It caused a little bit of drama.
