I am a ...: Dancer

About me: Hi! My name is Jacque and I am IRISH! I started Irish step dancing in 4th grade when I figured out for sure that I was Irish, and I did a project on Ireland for school. Part of my project was to find some unique things about Ireland and I found Irish Step and I thought it looks super cool! So my mom found a school, Tony Comerford School of Irish Dance and enrolled into it.
I LOVEEEEEEEE Irish STep Dancing, and one of my role models is CoCo Rocha, because she was a Irish step dancer and now a sucessful model. So far I have now 4 trophies and about 20 medals(i am not sure) from 3 different feis'. I have one dog Baxter, a beagle and I truly miss my dog Lucy a chocolate lab, who we had to give away when we moved. :'(
One of my favorite parts of Irish Dancing is probably the feis'. I love the rush of getting ready for them and the anticipation after each dance. I actually LOVE the pain of wig that is gives me because it makes me dance even harder, and I am like an excersise freak.

What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:: Irish Step Dance!!!!

Music/Singing School/Group: none

Music/Singing Level: beginner/horrible

Favorite Music: Dean Crouch(LOVE HIM!), Michael Flately's Lord of the Dance/Riverdance, Eugene O'Donnell, Ellery Kelin&Ryan Lacey (these are all Irish dance music)Glee, and anything fun and pumping!

Dancing Level: Begginer/Novice

How many years have you been Irish dancing?: Started at age 9, Been dancing on and of since then, Currently Dancing! :D

Favourite Irish Dance Show: Riverdance, Alice in Wonder-Ireland(the video on diddlyi)

I love this about Irish Dancing:: Once I am good enough, traveling around the world for competitions

I love this about Irish Tradition:: How everyone is so nice and welcoming!

Quick Update!

Since my last post in March, I wanted to give a quick update! At my fourth feis in June I moved my first dance, Reel into Prizewinner! Then at my last feis I moved Treble Jig and Slip Jig into Prizewinner as well!!! Light and Single Jig are still in Novice and my dreaded Hornpipe is still in Beginner 2 :( My biggest goal right now is to move that Hornpipe up to novice and then to Prizewinner!!!So there is my quick update! :DSee More

Its Official!

Hey Dancers!

So I have been a "Diddyli-ist" for quite a few years now, and I have been trying year after year to get myself back into my competitive school. Well....I did it! How To Keep Your Wig Looking Good?

Does anyone have any special tricks or ways they store and use their wigs that keep them nice for just a little bit longer? Whats the best kind of wig spray? How do you know when to get a new wig?
