- I come From Ulster I moved to england in 2006. Before I moved to England I used to dance with a school call "Scoil Rince Realta" we used to put on shows at the local theatres and we'd go to festivals which were competitions for teachers that havent completed their TCRG. My Teacher ,Maeve Rankin, also was a irish dance costume maker and she would have made some of the nicest solo dresses I've ever seen. In England the first dance school i tried out was called McPartlands my old dance teacher knew a girl that went their but he was too strict and one of the mothers there said there was another dance teacher near by called Julie Thornton she was an amazing dance teacher and she was also a world champion dancer she got me up to intermediate within two years of competiting which i felt is quite good considering that there are children that have been in primary for threee years and i have know some children that have yet to move their dances up to open. Unfortuantley my Julie quit last year which was very upsetting for me. Fortunatly though A very accomlished dancer called Carly merged Loughlin Accademy and Kearney Academy so this year i have mainly just learning my new dances hopfully my teacher will let my compete in the feiseanna in may.
