I keep expecting all this time between now and when I get back to school in mid-August to be nothing but boring. And up until recently, it was. I used to dread looking at the calendar, even my lovely Glee calendar, since the vast expanse of time stretched on in so many little numbered boxes.
At least there's driving school to help fill my days.

Or is that "sew, my"? That's just a few of the funny made-up words I saw this weekend.
On Friday my mom and I drove an hour and a half north to the Grand Lake One-Stop Shop, a quilting convention of sorts, helped by my dad's cranky Garmin with a habit of mispronouncing cities (like "Bel-LEF-on-taine")
She and I both thought it was bigger than it turned out to be, and if…Continue

March Madness has come and gone.
For me and three of my dearest dance friends, it was our very last.
Unseasonably warm temps made us all wish we'd be allowed to wear our summer costumes. As opposed to the obligatory long-sleeved winter ones. After all, as a rule, summer costumes are used for the first time of the season at A World A'Fair, a relentlessly musical multiculti…Continue
I remember my first feis. I was nine years old. After waking up at six thirty in the morning, shoving a bagel down my throat, and having a teacher rip Soft Spikes out of my hari, I was beginning to wonder why I decided to do this in the first place.
I remember my mom rushing me to my first stage for my reel. It was my very first time dancing in a feis, and it was going to be something I'd remember for many years. But I didn't realize that at the time.
This was my first feis post surgery. I can't even believe that I can dance--it's amazing. But I wanted to do so much better.
It's just motivation. And I'm so excited for all the St. Patrick's Day stuff this week. March Madness, Irish dance style.
Okay, I'm crazy excited right now. It's a song about an Irish dancer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPFkx_8MwGM it's sad, but don't you love it?

Oh my goodness... I just discovered I have had a post marked as a draft for a month now. Time just flies when you're training for Worlds. Let me start with the post I meant to publish a month ago.
"I competed at the North Coast Feis this past weekend. What a fantastic venue! The feis finished early which was great for us older girls.
To say I wasn't nervous would be lying. I had been on horrible antibiotics all week, that seemed to be sucking the life out of me and my…Continue
