'Going Home'

This is a poem I started a while back, but only finished a few days ago. Any suggestions on how to improve it are gratefully welcomed - especially if they pertain to the end!

Five generations ago, a man left Ireland

First for England, then for the States

I don't know if he wanted to leave

And I don't know much of his fate

What was life like in Ireland

That would make him leave?

NANs 2013 in Anaheim, CA!!! :D

Well, I have my goal for the next year!! I want to qualify at Oireachtas with my 8 hand, for NANs in Anaheim,CA. Anybody think this is unachievable or kind of a lofty goal???

I have permission to move to and-overs. This is the goal I have been striving for since I realized that it was allowed. The problem now is that I am scared. It is a big move and I started dancing later than many other girls. I do not want to move and be stuck in that grade and not be able to move up.

I have improved greatly since I started dancing and have continued to place highly in feisanna. Just seems like a big jump. Any thoughts from anyone who has moved down?

Ireland/What inspired me to ID

Ireland.. To many, the word conjures up images of green fields, leprechauns, and a mysterious land full of magic. To me, this word means just one thing. Home.. I was amazed at how at ease I felt with family I had not seen in what felt like forever. How natural it felt to walk around Cork city, mingling with the locals. How great the feeling of belonging is.
