I was unhappy without Irish dancing here for a long time (nobody wanted to take in a 28-year-old student), but it's changed now! Thanks to Karen Mountain, I attended a class in George Ferguson's dance school yesterday. My first impression was "how different it is from TNN classes" ;) , but I think that I'll adapt to the new style soon.
Celeb bits: George was a world champion in 1972 and he comes from the same school as Colin Dunne - Turley Academy of Irish Dance. His own school performed…

Hi all,
my work might take me to Marseilles for more or less two weeks in May (hopefully finishing just in time for me to attend the workshop in Rognac - I'm not 100% sure yet if I will attend it, but being already in the area would definitely help!;)). I work as a cabin crew, so accomodation close to the airport would be ideal, but even if you live within 1 hour distance from it, and are willing to share your house with a fellow Diddlier, please drop me a message:) any details to be…

Hello from Liverpool!
I moved here around 3 weeks ago, after completing the training for Ryanair cabin crew. Great Britain was at first very strange to me, but now I got used to the weather;) [we've got VERY strong winds here!], got used to the new job, and now I feel like taking up dancing again! The last time I practised my steps was in January, so I better start working on them if I want to pass grade exam in June! Any Diddlyiers in this area? Maybe you could help me find a place where…

Hurray, Shane is here for 3 days! We've learned a really cute hornpipe step in 45 minutes tonight :D (the rest of the time was devoted to turn out/cross your knees/kick your bum/etc. exercises;)) My feet hurt, but it's such a nice kind of pain - bet you all know what I mean...:)))
Edited one day later:
There was no softshoe class for me :( I had to stay home with the baby because my husband worked overtime :/ soooo sad!

Tonight I danced traditional Irish sets for the first time! Cashel set, to be specific:) An Irishman willing to teach organized a little workshop which is to last till the end of August. We had just enough people to make two full sets, everybody had lots of fun (and hard work, trying to keep those feet down;)). I'm looking forward to the next meeting and wonder if there are any music CDs made for practice...
