Hi there!
So, what a weekend! I am not going to write a very lengthy blog post right now as I am absolutely wrecked! I got home to Munich last night at about 8.30pm after having a fairly hectic but amazing couple of days in China with the Riverdance flying squad.
We went out to Beijing last Wednesday afternoon. I flew to London from Munich and met up with the rest of the lads for our flight to Beijing. There were only 6 troupe dancers and one male lead travelling along with the Flying squad coordinator, Oran, without whom we would all be completely lost!
It was great seeing the lads again in London as we all checked in for the long flight to China. We were told at the check in desk that the plane had to be changed and therefore it was overbooked. They first offered us cash to take a flight the next day but as we were scheduled for rehearsals the next day this was not a possibility. This turned out to be a stroke of luck as we were told that the only way we could get on the plane was if they bumped our seats up to business class! Nice one! Our flight to Beijing was 11hrs long which was spent in luxury in British Airways business class complete with fully reclining seats that turned into flat beds. After a few glasses of champagne and some lobster appetizers followed by beef steaks we settled into our journey to China... It was a definite sign that this was going to be a great trip!
After arriving in our hotel in Beijing we were told our intinerary which included another flight the next day to the tropical island of Sanya were we would perform... But folks, I am waaaaaaaay to tired so you are going to have to wait for the rest of the story!!!!
I am off to bed! Stay tuned over the next few days for more stories on my China trip, sorry I am so tired but I really cant write anymore at this point in time!!! My bed is calling me!!!!
