Hi everyone,
Its day one of
Stagefire Dance project 2009 and there are over 70 dancers working hard in Cracow to get a show together in less than ten days! We have three performances planned for the end of the camp. The first is the main one which will take place in a cinema theatre seating about 800 people. We will be performing here to the live music of
Carrantouhill. The next day we will have another performance at the venue where the rehearsals will be taking place all week. Then some of the dancers will be chosen to travel to Northern Poland (12hr bus ride!!) to perform at the Polish Woodstock festival which is the largest music festival in Europe with an expected audience of 400,000 people!!!
Choreographers:
David Bellwood,
Shane McAvinchey, Michael
Piotrowski
Event Co ordinator / Dance captain -
Dorota Czajkowska
We have over 70 dancers from all over the world including: Poland (of course!), Germany, Russia, Belarus, Czech Republic, France, USA, Brazil, Japan, England, Ukraine... and sorry if I left any out but this is amazing to see so many dancers from so many different backgrounds all coming together for this fantastic event!!
I will try and get a journel and VLOG up every evening, but I am sure you will understand if I miss one or two as I will be wrecked I am sure!! Enjoy the photos below and be sure to check out the first VLOG

Heres David going through pictures of each participant to try and split them into their groups...

There is only one way to remember each dancer and decide which group is best for them..

The end of Day one, three sweaty Choreographers and Dance captains!

And a tired and sweaty Shane after day one!
