Well, yet again another exciting day here at stagefire! The day began at 7.45am when the whole cast headed off to the venue where we will be performing for our first run through of the stagefire show! The venue is a cinema which is different then what we are used to so there had to be some changes made to exits and entrances etc.
After a successful run through the show it was back to the studio for most of us for more rehearsals, costume fittings and repeating each choreography again and again and again! By 8pm the whole show was complete except for the finale which was put together then. It was a long and tiring day again but it is great to see the show really taking form now. We also had a chance to get together and dance some ceilis while we waited for each class to start. David Bellwood made a nice remark by saying that its great that we were able to jump up with 7 other complete strangers all from different countries and dance a traditional Irish Ceili dance! Trip to the cottage and Humours of Bandon where our dance of choice for today, and of course, all just for fun!
Tomorrow morning we are all in for 10am for a full dress rehearsal with the live band and then at 6pm is the big show in Krakow! There are 800 seats on sale for our first show and apparently the tickets are selling like hot cakes! We will have another smaller show in Krakow on Friday evening and then some of us will head away on a bus for 12hrs through the night to perform at the Polish woodstock festival on Saturday evening. Apparently this is one of the biggest out door festivals in Europe so that should be amazing!
I made a few videos today so I hope you like them!
